1. How do I get a Library card?

Come to the Library and present a current picture ID and proof of current residence, like a valid driver's license. If you live in Taylor city limits, there is no charge for a card. If you live outside of Taylor, there is a $10 per year charge. For more questions about proof of residence or ID, call the Library at 512-352-3434.

2. How much are overdue fines?

Overdues are .10 cents a day per item. Fines accrue for each item for each calendar day. Overdue fines cap at $5 per item.

3. What about e-books at the Library?

Yes! We have eBooks and digital audio books through Overdrive. You must have a valid Taylor Public Library Card, up to date with fees under $5.00. Go to the Library's Catalog, log into your library account and then you have access to Overdrive.

Also, through the Library's link to the Texas State Library Databases, there is the database, eBooks from EBSCOhost.

4. How can I renew my library materials?

You can renew your materials in person, or by phone (512-352-3434) or by e-mail (bookrenew@taylortx.gov). You can renew an item up to 4 times, as long as no one has a reserve on the item.
