The City of Taylor will host an online Forum for Civil Discourse and Diversity with panel discussions on a variety of topics on Tuesday, October 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be conducted over Zoom and broadcast to the public via Facebook Live on the City’s Facebook Page. All Taylor residents are encouraged to tune in for the event—pre-registration is not required.
The Forum was proposed by Taylor City Councilmember Gerald Anderson as a follow up to the event that was organized earlier this year. The focus of the event is to solicit feedback from the community that can be used to create a plan of action to promote civil discourse and diversity in the City of Taylor.
The event will feature three panel discussions: Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace, Promoting Civil Discourse, Diversity, and Awareness in the Community (best practices), and Mental health issues associated with social justice.
