    In the early days, pioneer families and settlers would hold a "pounding event" for newlyweds to help stock their food pantry. Neighbors would bring a pound of flour, a pound of sugar, or butter as a welcome gift. Help stock our local food pantry on this Saturday by dropping off non perishable food items.
