The Taylor City Cemetery is open for people to visit their loved ones from 7 AM to 7 PM. The Cemetery office hours are Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM should you need assistance locating a loved one's grave.

1. You may contact the Cemetery Coordinator either in person at the cemetery office or by phone, 512-352-3531, during business hours, 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
2. Use the Name's List, Addition Maps, and Cemetery Map.
1. View Names List, find your loved one by Last Name. Names are separated alphabetically via the tabs.
2. Using the grave location information, locate the corresponding Addition Map,
a. 4th Addition, 3rd Addition, 2nd Addition, 1st Addition
3. The tabs in each edition map correspond with the Block letter or number in each addition.
4. Use your Cemetery Map to locate the appropriate Block and Lot your loved one is located in. Note: on the Cemetery Map, each small square in the Blocks, is a cemetery lot, consisting of 8 spaces.
5. You can then use the Google Map View to drive or walk to the appropriate Block your loved one's lot/space is located.
To schedule a service or burial, please call the funeral home handling your loved one's arrangements. Burials and services may be held between 9 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday-Saturday. All burials and services must be scheduled with the Cemetery Coordinator a minimum of 48 hours prior to the time of the service. Weekends and City Holidays do not count in the 48 hour time period.
Flowers, real or artificial, may be placed on your loved one's grave. One set or bouquet of flowers is allowed per grave.
Absolutely NO GLASS containers are allowed to be placed on grave spaces.

Various rules and regulations have been put in place to maintain the proper beautification and aesthetics of the Taylor City Cemetery.

Headstones are not required however are encouraged. Taylor City Cemetery does not provide any grave marking item.
Most funeral homes following a burial will place a metal or plastic "Temporary Marker" on the grave.
Headstones must be approved by the Cemetery Coordinator before being placed. Size restrictions do apply and vary depending on the location of the grave.
Please contact the Cemetery Coordinator during business hours to verify the applicable headstone regulations.
Headstone installations are required to be performed by a certifiable Monument business due to the required installation specifications set forth by the Cemetery.
All new headstone installations must be scheduled with the Cemetery Coordinator a minimum of 48 hours prior to setting along with the payment of the marking fee (See Fee Schedule).
Headstone work must be performed Monday-Friday, 9AM-4PM, same as the Cemetery business hours.
Fresh graves are typically left with a mound of excess soil to allow the natural settling of the soil while maintaining a level consistent with the ground around the grave.
In the event of rainy weather, the soil in the grave will settle more and faster causing the grave to "sink". We strive to fill these as soon as we are able. In the event your loved one's grave has sunk, please call the Cemetery Office and let them know your loved one's grave needs more soil.
Per cemetery regulations, no more than two sets of remains shall be buried in one grave in the following circumstances:
All graves, once the ground has settled, must be covered by natural grass. You may place sod and plant grass (as long as it's native and non-invasive) on your loved one's grave once the ground has settled. (We recommend approximately 6 months from the date of burial).
However, absolutely no rocks, gravel, stone, or any other material may be placed on or used to cover a grave.

The cemetery has no requirement on any outer burial containers, ie, concrete liners or vaults. However, the use of one does help prevent the cemetery grounds from sinking in over time.
