Statement from the City of Taylor Regarding COVID-19

Coronavirus-badge-300

The City of Taylor continues to work closely with our partners at the Williamson County and Cities Health District to monitor the effects of Covid-19 in Williamson County and the City of Taylor to ensure that we are conveying the most current and accurate information to our residents.

On a local level, out of an abundance of caution, we are announcing that the Drainage Master Plan Public Meeting scheduled for March 24 at Taylor Public Library has been canceled. The public is still encouraged to fill out the questionnaire, available on the City’s website at taylortx.gov.

The Farmer’s Market at Heritage Square, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, is expected to move forward as planned.

The organizers of the Spring Global NIT Baseball Tournament at Taylor Regional Park, scheduled for Saturday, March 14, have indicated that the tournament will proceed as scheduled.

We encourage residents to continue to keep calm and take precautionary measures, such as washing your hands, staying at home if you are sick, and listen to the CDC and local health authorities.  Also, be sure to sign up for our News Alerts on the City website, taylortx.gov, so you can be informed about any new developments.

We will continue to monitor this rapidly evolving situation and will notify the public of any changes.
