Sledge Engineering resigns from role as city’s engineering firm

Sledge

Casey Sledge and Sledge Engineering, LLC notified City Manager Isaac Turner on Friday that they would end their contracted services with all projects the company is doing for the City of Taylor.

“The City of Taylor and Sledge Engineering have had a long relationship.  I want to thank Sledge Engineering for the role it has played in bringing so many projects to fruition for Taylor over the years,” said Mayor Brandt Rydell.

Mr. Sledge’s history with the City of Taylor dates back to 1999, when he served as the City’s first in-house engineer. Since 2004, he has functioned as a consulting engineer for the City.

“Recently Sledge Engineering helped to compile a Strategic Facilities Master Plan, giving us a professional document that will be important to the council as they prioritize projects for Taylor’s future. Our thanks to Casey Sledge and his firm for their years of service and their many contributions to our community,” said City Manager Isaac Turner. "The process to hire a new engineering firm is already underway, as the City of Taylor looks to continue existing projects and to work them to completion.”
