Have you wanted to learn to sew but never took the time? Now you can learn to sew at a free class being offered by the Taylor Public Library on Saturday, March 10. The class is open to all ages. Learn to make a simple drawstring bag in this beginner-level class. Students are asked to bring their own fabric, and just 1/4 of a yard will be enough, according to sewing teacher and Library Director Karen Ellis.
"If anyone has some old cotton fabric scraps or remnants they'd like to donate, that would be much appreciated," Ellis says. "Some supplies will be provided."
Three sewing machines will be available for use, and students are welcome to bring their own machines if they want to.
